Weekly Bookbinding Report; page repair practice
Week nine as an apprentice bookbinder at York Bookbinding
Week nine at York Bookbinding entailed a day of page reparations on a bible. It wasn't a full day of work as we had the Christmas party in the afternoon/evening, so it was a more relaxed approach to the work day, just focusing on one particular task.
Week eight accomplishments:
Repairing the pages of a bible.
Notes of the week:
Take more breaks as reparation is highly focused work.
Helen showed me her work on repairing a page that was covered in old tape, much of it gone and fragile. To save the page, she covered it with one singular large sheet of Filmoplast.
